Evi-Anne van Dis MSc.

PhD Candidate

Evi-Anne van Dis is a PhD candidate at the department of Clinical Psychology since June 2016. The aim of her project is to investigate whether and how changing the negative valence of fear-relevant stimuli (in addition to exposure therapy) reduces relapse. Several fear conditioning experiments will be conducted to investigate the effectiveness of diverse manipulations in reducing negative conditioned stimulus valence and subsequent return of fear (e.g., reinstatement). Eventually we aim to translate these findings to a clinically useful tool and test its effects in patients with anxiety disorders. Evi-Anne van Dis is supervised by prof. dr. Iris Engelhard, prof. dr. Claudi Bockting and dr. Muriel Hagenaars.
