Kevin van Schie MSc.PhD candidate
Since August 2013 Kevin van Schie has been a PhD candidate at the department of Clinical Psychology under the supervision of Marcel van den Hout and Iris Engelhard. He primarily examines memory processes related to trauma. On the one hand he focuses on the cognitive and neurobiological mechanisms underlying Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). On the other hand, he studies the interaction of memory and cognitive control, when suppressing distracting and unwanted memories. Additionally, Kevin is a PhD representative for Utrecht’s PhD Network (Prout), and is a PhD representative within the Educational Committee of the Dutch-Flemish Postgraduate School for Experimental Psychopathology.
